In the product design phase it once had mounting holes on the casing but the hardware inside runs too hot to safely mount the unit.
Now you have a pattern of mount holes and can get a idea where you want it.
Put wall anchors in the holes.

How about a piece of 1 4 inch plywood cut a little larger than the r7000.
Unfortunately its in wall ac adapter at 3 5 x 2 8 x 1 1 inches is awkwardly large and more than twice the size of the trendnet tew 812dru s.
The pc already had my ups sitting on top and the new modem was wider than the old one and if i placed it on top of the pc next to the ups it would hang off the left edge a couple of inches.
I am going to wall mount the r7000 to get it closer to upstairs and away from interference around it.

Wall mount of 1900 the antennas pointing up will work all you need to mount it is a piece of paper and rub it with pen or something too get a outline of the buttom of the router.
I did that when i replaced my modem.
